Teacher education and Development through Online Learning (SL-TeDOL) - Vocabulary Teaching and Learning (VTL)
"Welcome to the SL-TeDOL, VTL 25 course information website! Here, you'll find everything you need to know about the course and answers to common questions. Please explore the sections below. If you have any further questions, you can reach Nezaket or Züleyha directly from their email addresses.
Enrollment opens on September 3rd and closes on September 19th. If you are interested, you can fill in the form here. When your enrolment is completed by the SU IT Team, you'll receive a message that shows your accessibility to the course platform. Meanwhile, you can get to know your instructors on the Padlet wall and introduce yourselves.
To officially become a participant, please complete the participant information survey between September 3th and 15th.
Please note: VTL 19 and VTL 20 were given previously and more than 250 participants completed the courses..

 | About this course The course aims to help teachers develop their awareness, knowledge, and skills in vocabulary teaching in terms of 'what to teach', 'how to teach', 'how to practise and revise', and ‘how to assess’ vocabulary as an EFL teacher. You will develop a greater understanding of what it means to know a word and build familiarity with key concepts, methods, and strategies to teach lexis effectively. You will also analyse and practise presentation, practice, and recycling methods with a combination of practical in-class and online tools (hard and soft tools). Click here for more information. |
 | Course Duration & The Calendar SL-TeDOL, Vocabulary Teaching and Learning, is a fourteen-week course in total, consisting of seven sessions, each session spread over two weeks. Two extra weeks are included in the course to allow time for consolidation/ catch-up/ review. Course materials will be posted on the site each Friday. CPs will be able to introduce themselves to other CPs on enrolment before the start of the course. See the course calendar for more detailed information. |
 | Certification Course participants will be awarded a badge for completion of all tasks within a session. CPs who collect all 7 badges will receive a Sabancı University School of Languages (SL-TeDOL): Vocabulary Teaching and Learning course achievement certificate. You can see a copy of the certificate here. |
