Visit to Robert College
Upon invitation of Margaret Halicioğlu, Dean of Student Affairs of Robert College our SL instructor ilkem Kayican Dipcin visited Robert College. She had meetings with the dean and the Head Librarian, Cara Keyman who is also the Chair of RC Academic Honesty Committee, and observed two different English classes.
İlkem received detailed information about Robert College’s constructive approach to academic honesty education from the head librarian who is also the chair of the academic honesty committee. “It is great to see that high school Prep students have just started a major research project that is very similar to our Proj course in SL.” She also visited the Advanced Placement (AP) Language class, a great course to help students be prepared for academic life at university. It was impressive to observe the students speaking on current topics using critical thinking skills through different speaking tasks.
