Joint Online Public Speaking Session Held Between SUPEAK and Cornell University’s Big Red Toastmasters

A joint online public speaking session was held between SUPEAK Sabancı University and Cornell University’s Big Red Toastmasters. The session was conducted under my academic supervision and focused on applied public speaking practice in an international context.
During the session, participants delivered prepared speeches, assumed meeting roles, and took part in structured evaluation segments. Peer feedback was provided using established public speaking criteria, with attention given to speech organization, clarity of message, vocal delivery, and audience engagement. Participants also engaged in short discussion segments that allowed for comparison of speaking approaches and evaluation styles across the two institutions.
The event was coordinated by İpek Solmaz, and the participants from Sabancı University included Ecenaz Timurlenk, Burak Uluer, Şevde Rana Avcı, Furkan Çilesiz, Ecrin Yaman, and Berkin Gülcan.
The session was delivered online and served as a practical exchange of public speaking methodologies and feedback practices. Further joint sessions and collaborative formats are currently being considered.
